Quick stop at Aus on route to Lüderitz - wasn't keen on the Pan Seared Zebra they had on the menu.  Stopped to see the Aus Wild Horses but unfortunately they had bolted and nowhere to be seen!

Lüderitz was founded by Bartolomeu Diaz in 1487 and was originally a trading and whale station until the discovery of Diamonds in 1909 in Kolmanskop. Sleepy town with good sea birds to be seen. You can get fresh Oysters and Crayfish at most places from the Yacht Club to the Portuguese Fisherman’s Restaurant. Ray and I chased a sunset to Agate Beach. Put our feet in the Ocean and immediately regretted it. You are able to still find Agates on the beach today. We also found Oryx (Gemsbok to normal people) on the beach at sunset. Great drive to Diaz Point "Sheltered Campsite" Ya well . Oxymoron. Road is all along the coast and is very Wild. Well worth a couple of hours drive.
