Crossing the Tropic..

Amazing scenery along this route C14 - started with expanses of flat landscape as far as the eye could see - greens, yellows & orange/red.  So beautiful and difficult to capture the vastness and colours.

After crossing the Tropic of Capricorn the scenery changed to darker, rocky mountains and passes. Stopped to enjoy the Quiver Trees before continuing on towards Swakopmund.

Wind blew us into Swakopmund and roads barely visibly at times with the swirling sand storm.  Arrived at Sophia Dale Camp but opted to book into their self-catering unit instead of putting up Jurgie in the howling winds.
